Often I’ve been told

You just don’t get computers

Because you are too old.

 

What you say is very true

I agree with what you said

But in my day, simple maths

Were worked out in my head

 

Whenever I went shopping

And received my weekly bill

It was added up on paper

Not on an electronic till.

 

I studied palaeontology

When I worked down below

But trilobites to gigabytes

Is much too far to go

 

And when it comes to jargon

We are set at worlds apart

When asked how to stop the computer

Was told it’s easy, just press start.
