Thank you Lord for giving me

My eyes that I may see

The world in all it’s beauty

Wherever it may be.

 

Thank you Lord for giving me

The tender gift of touch

That I may use it to embrace

The ones I love so much.

 

Thank you Lord for giving me

The gift that I may hear

The sound of children’s laughter

And a nature’s changing year.

 

Thank you for the gift of speech

That I may spread your word

Of the life and death of Jesus

And why it all occurred.

 

Thanks for giving me a mind

To help me understand

That you are always present

If I should need a hand.

 

Thank you Lord for giving me

A heart that I may love.
