There's ash and oak and elm

Spruce and many more

Willow, pine and beech

Plane and sycamore.

 

Trees are something special

They look and smell quite good

Put lots of them together

And they will make a wood.

 

They are good for the environment

By making the air clean

They also help to make it rain

And help make England green.

 

Trees make a home for squirrels

A place for birds to make a nest

To bring up all their babies

Or just a place to rest

 

I like the trees in autumn

Leaves turn from green to gold

Then fall down to the ground

As the days grow cold

 

In the spring as days come warmer

When buds start to appear

The trees have come to life

For yet another year.
